2. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Paige is designed for children under the direction and supervision of their parent or legal guardian. We take our obligations under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable state children's privacy laws seriously.
- Parental consent: A parent or legal guardian must create the account and enroll students. By enrolling a child, you represent that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and you consent to our collection and use of the child's information as described in this Policy.
- What we collect from children: We collect only the student information you provide (name, grade, subjects) and in-app learning activity. We do not ask children to provide contact information, photos, location, or social data.
- No behavioural advertising to children: We do not use children's data for behavioural advertising or share it with advertisers.
- Parental review and deletion: You may review your child's information, correct inaccuracies, or request deletion at any time by emailing support@paige123.com. We will respond within 30 days. Deleting a student profile removes that child's learning data from our active systems.
- Operators and schools: If Paige is accessed through an institutional agreement, the institution assumes responsibility for obtaining required parental consents.

We will not use your or your child's data for any purpose materially different from those listed above without first obtaining your consent.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with third parties only to the extent necessary to operate the Service. All processors are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their own marketing purposes.

- Student learning data is retained for the duration of the student's active enrollment. Upon request or account deletion it is purged from active systems within 30 days.
- Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
- Support correspondence is retained for 3 years.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted storage, secure transmission over HTTPS, access controls, and the use of a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor so that card details never touch our servers.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that creates a risk to your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and your child.
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where required by law or where we deem it appropriate, notify you by email or prominent in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the updated Policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

Terms of Service
1. The Service
Paige is an AI-powered learning platform for home-educated students developed and operated by Paige Learning ("Paige Learning," "we," "us," or "our"). The Service is accessible at try-paige.com and paige123.com.
The Service is intended as a supplementary educational tool. It is not a substitute for accredited schooling and does not confer academic degrees, diplomas, or official credits unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement.
2. Accounts & Eligibility
- Age requirement: Parent accounts may only be created by individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
- Student accounts: Student access is provisioned solely by the parent or legal guardian who holds the parent account. By enrolling a child, you represent that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on their behalf.
- Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account and to keep that information up to date.
- Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and parent PIN. You must notify us immediately at support@paige123.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account that is not attributable to our own negligence.
- One account per family: Each account is for a single family household. You may not share accounts across unrelated families or resell access to the Service.
- Institutional use: Schools, co-ops, and other organisations wishing to use Paige must enter into a separate institutional agreement with Paige Learning.
3. Fees, Subscriptions & Refunds
3a. Subscription Plans
Access to the full Service requires an active paid subscription or participation in an approved funding program (e.g., Florida Step Up EMA via Northridge Academy). Subscription pricing, billing cycles, and plan details are displayed at checkout and on the pricing page of the Service and are subject to change with notice.
3b. Free Trial
New subscribers may receive a free trial period as indicated at sign-up. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and your payment method will be charged at the applicable rate. Trial eligibility is at our sole discretion and limited to one trial per family.
3c. Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. By subscribing, you authorise Paige Learning (via our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
3d. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by emailing support@paige123.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until that date. We do not pro-rate cancellations made mid-period.
3e. Refunds
All fees are non-refundable except: (i) where required by applicable law; (ii) where a technical failure caused by us prevented access to the Service for more than 48 consecutive hours during your paid period; or (iii) at our sole discretion as a good-faith gesture. To request a refund under (ii), email support@paige123.com within 14 days of the relevant period.
3f. Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase by email to the address on your account. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new price.
3g. Taxes
Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, and levies on your subscription.
3h. Funding Programs (EMA / Scholarship)
Access through third-party funding programs (such as Florida Step Up for Students EMA via Northridge Academy) is governed by the terms of those programs in addition to these Terms. Paige Learning makes no representation that the Service qualifies for any particular funding program and is not responsible for funding approval, denial, or disbursement.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Service
- Access the Service by automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) without our written permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or any system connected to it
- Upload, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Use the Service to provide tutoring, coaching, or academic assistance to students outside your own household without an institutional agreement
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of any part of the Service
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service for commercial purposes without our prior written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, without notice and without liability, at our sole discretion.
5. Intellectual Property
5a. Our Property
The Service, including all software, content, curriculum materials, lesson content, instructional materials, characters (Paige, Whisper, Carter), branding, designs, trademarks, and logos, are owned by or licensed to Paige Learning and are protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved by Paige Learning.
5b. Limited Licence to You
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Paige Learning grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial family educational purposes.
5c. Feedback
If you submit ideas, suggestions, feedback, or improvements regarding the Service ("Feedback"), you grant Paige Learning a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, incorporate, and exploit such Feedback for any purpose without compensation or attribution to you.
5d. User Content
Any content you submit through the Service (e.g., support messages, form inputs) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to use that content solely to provide and improve the Service. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant this licence.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is an educational supplement. Paige Learning does not guarantee any specific academic outcome, grade improvement, or test score result. Learning outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including student effort, time invested, and individual learning needs.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PAIGE LEARNING'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, STATUTE, OR OTHERWISE, WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO PAIGE LEARNING IN THE 12 MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (B) US $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Paige Learning, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your use of the Service in a manner not authorised by these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property right or privacy right; or (d) any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party.
9. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
9a. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
9b. Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at support@paige123.com and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Many concerns can be resolved quickly this way.
9c. Binding Arbitration
IF WE CANNOT RESOLVE THE DISPUTE INFORMALLY, YOU AND PAIGE LEARNING AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE, CLAIM, OR CONTROVERSY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL BE RESOLVED SOLELY BY BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION UNDER THE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION (AAA) CONSUMER ARBITRATION RULES, RATHER THAN IN COURT. This means you waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. The arbitration will be conducted in English in Florida (or by videoconference at either party's request). Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
9d. Class Action Waiver
YOU AND PAIGE LEARNING AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. If this waiver is found unenforceable, the entirety of Section 9c (Binding Arbitration) will be null and void.
9e. Exceptions
Either party may seek emergency injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration. Claims for de minimis amounts (under $250) may also be pursued in small claims court in the county where you reside.
10. General Provisions
10a. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription before the effective date.
10b. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately and without prior notice if: (i) you breach these Terms; (ii) we reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently or to harm others; (iii) we are required to do so by law; or (iv) we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 5a, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 survive termination.
10c. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be available 100% of the time. We may perform maintenance, updates, or emergency fixes that temporarily interrupt the Service. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.
10d. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
10e. Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms on any occasion does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision in the future.
10f. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order confirmations or institutional agreements you enter into with us, constitute the entire agreement between you and Paige Learning regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
10g. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
10h. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, governmental action, internet or telecommunications outages, or third-party service failures.
